New Big Screen and projector

We have a new big screen and projector in the Lounge, thanks to a number of members for donations. We are looking at the Sporting Fixtures over the coming winter and will open the bar for the duration of specific events. Any requests please see Bridget and / or Terry Birch.

2009 Regatta details

The next BIG event is the REGATTA this coming weekend 28th – 30th August. John Tallis, Sailing Secretary, has put up race notices on the Club Notice board, racing Friday / Saturday and Sunday all short races because of tidal constraints, along with team application forms for the Coracle Race, taking place on 30th at 12.00. Get your team together (maximum 5).

Trophy Presentation because of tidal constraints will take place on Saturday 3rd October at the Cheese & Wine Evening, when cheques will be presented to RNLI 7 North Wales Coastwatch.

Rowers Win Trophy

Congratulations to the Rowers who came back from the Bull Bay North League Race on Sunday 9th with another trophy. We’re finding space for a Rowing Section Trophy Cabinet. Our Rear Commodore, Sarah Hughes hosted a Garden Party on Saturday 15th August, despite iffy weather those who attended had a good time, the food was superb, Chris and his group accompanied. Two gigs are taking part in the London River Race on Saturday 5th September the course from Greenwich to Richmond. Fancy a weekend in London to support them, contact Simon Pendrell.
